Project 11- Collect ring tabs
This Vesak, we invite the public to take part in Project 11, a unique and meaningful campaign that helps create a better life for our physically challenged friends. The campaign calls for a simple act – collect ring tabs from drink and food cans. These ring tabs will be recycled into materials for making components of prosthetic limbs to benefit the disabled who are in need.
Our target is to collect 5 tons of ring tabs (estimated to be 15 million pieces of ring tabs) by 30 November 2011. This will mean 10,000 prosthetic legs for the disabled!

今年卫塞，我们诚邀公众共同参与一项为残疾朋友造福的活动~《壹壹计划》。这项活动呼吁公众参与收集罐装食品与饮料上拉环的简单善举。这些拉环将被循环制成利益残疾朋友的义肢。
我们的目标是收集5吨重的拉环，以再循环制成一万只义肢的组件。
WHY? 缘由
Ring tabs can be recycled into components for artificial legs that are lighter and cheaper.
拉环可再循环制成义肢的组件，因为轻便与经济。
WHO? 受惠者
The beneficiaries are amputees who cannot afford artificial legs, regardless of nationality and religion.
那些无法负担装置义肢费用的残疾人士，不分国籍与宗教信仰。
TARGET? 目标
Collect 5 tons of ring tabs to be recycled into components for 10,000 artificial legs!
收集5吨重的拉环，再循环制成一万只义肢的组件。
HOW? 如何行动
Collect ring tabs from food and drink cans and clean them. Deposit them at any of our collection points.
收集罐装食品与饮料上的拉环，将它们洗净，然后送至我们的收集处。
DURATION 期限
Project 11 is ongoing till 30 November 2011.
